WE SHOULD COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER MORE OFTEN

This morning I was talking to one of my colleagues and complimented her for her looks.
I always admired her for her femininity, grace, the way she takes care of herself, and her each day appearance.
I could see her enjoying what I was saying, but at the same time, I could feel some discomfort.
She then told me that she had always been unsatisfied with her looks. After a short break, she continued by saying that she knows this dissatisfaction comes from her mother always talking about her skin being too brunette. Her mother seems to have always wanted a daughter with alabaster skin and blue eyes.
Shocking!
This beautiful woman has big and beautiful brown eyes, a skin that always looks flawless and tanned. She is always smiling and very carefully watches her silhouette, BUT, she sees herself still as not beautiful because that’s what she heard. Coming from her mother, I think she made it her own belief, seeing it as a truth spoken by the first person she got lessons from.
I think many of us struggle with beliefs that don’t let us see our unique beauty soo…
WHY DON’T WE TRY TO CHANGE SOME OF THESE BELIEFS?
Why don’t we start complimenting each other when we feel like doing it?
I say this because a belief is just a thought that we continue thinking till it becomes a belief.
So let’s get ourselves some new beliefs by thinking and acting differently!
Let’s learn new beliefs that celebrate our beauty and uniqueness.
