Let me explain…
You know those times when you want to do something for
yourself but you postpone it because of, let’s say “LIFE”?!
It is like you would really love to get a massage, for example,
BUT your partner wants you to go with him to some gathering,
or your Kids wants you to cook them something they love
eating, e.g.
All those times, …,you’re getting frustrated, and you are definitely not feeling happy, thinking of what you’d wish you’d do.
And that’s not happiness, not to my opinion.
So l’ve figured…
If I make a schedule and respect it, then I can slip
into my calendar let’s say a one hour massage and, just by
doing this for 2 times in a row, I will trust I can do it more often
and I’ll get that feeling of accomplishment and happiness.
So, having tried this, has proven my point, and this is the reason why I really do believe that one way to be happy is by being disciplined.
l’ve given some tools in my other posts and asked you to practice them for a short period of time and, afterwards, to come and tell me what you’ve managed to find out.
All I wanted to do and still want to, is to inspire you to find a bit of
time, every day, to do something for yourself.
Like I said before, I know, from my experiences; my readings; my findings, that having discipline in finding some time for yourself every day brings you happiness.
We are used to think of happiness as being some kind of life period/cycle; we perceive it as a grandious purpose, a big picture – at least that’s what l’ve noticed, when, in reality, happiness is:
that moment when you feel loved, as your kid embraces you,
the moment when you feel enchanted by a sunset or a sunrise,
the moment when you say you will work out every morning for 30 minutes and you do this.
It’s a sum of happy moments.
We just need to have the discipline to look into these moments, and recognize them as being true happiness.
Conclusion?
I really believe discipline can bring us happiness, if used for personal growth and for reaching goals.
LOVE U
